Poetry Group:

POEMS FOR HARD TIMES

Some of us find that when tough times hit, nothing works like sharing the dark experience with a poet fellow traveller . . . or reaching for an inspiring poetic perspective.  You may want to pick up Garrison Keillor's newest collection, Good Poems for Hard Times Or draw on your own reading and experience.

As always, you are welcome to come and just listen and enjoy if you wish.  (Ann & Bill Bushnell were planning to be away, so we planned to muddle through this one on our own – tho' surprise!   Ann & Bill will be here after all).

Here are some suggested poetic pieces to get things rolling.  If you like a piece and you're feeling industrious, do a little digging to find out something about the poet and bring your information to share.   And . . . if you have any poems that you would like people in our group to savor, send them to me (DZ - Contact Us), preferably in electronic format, and I will put them here on the website.  (Click on blue links below - each poem is a PDF file that opens in a separate window):
